Our libraries invite everyone to share their thoughts and impressions of the recent Everyone’s Library campaign which aimed to inspire a new generation of library users across the city.
Anyone regardless of whether they saw the campaign or hold a library membership can participate in an online Community Connect feedback form to share their thoughts.
The survey is open until Friday 15 March 2024.
All feedback from our residents is valuable and helps our libraries determine the impact of this campaign, evaluate the project and inform projects in the future.
Community Connect
During January Brighton & Hove Libraries launched their Everyone’s Library campaign as a part of the Community Connect project.
The Community Connect project aimed to shape the future of our libraries to better serve our diverse community and inspire new audiences who may not have thought about using the library before.
The campaign highlights the library is for everyone and can mean different things to different people and saw many residents and visitors contributing what the library means to them via an interactive installation at Jubilee Library.
Brighton & Hove Libraries worked with the city-based design studio Boyle & Perks, who specialise in creative communications for the arts, education and research, to create this campaign.
The project was financed through the LibraryOn grant funding.
Breathing new air into our libraries’ presence
Councillor Leslie Pumm, chair of the Equalities, Community Safety & Human Rights Committee, said: “The Everyone’s Library campaign breathed new air into our library’s public image and established a brighter and bolder library presence in the city.
“Libraries mean different things to different people and it’s absolutely vital that whether people are looking for resources, support or just a warm place to spend some time in, they know they can find it in their library.
“I encourage everyone to get involved and share their thoughts on this campaign, spread the word of our services and explore the abundance of exciting events and opportunities our libraries provide.”
