Residents in Saltdean are being asked for their thoughts on replacing and updating the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA.)
The area, at Saltdean Park, is being improved and updated as part of the council’s city-wide Playground Refurbishment Programme.
Council officers are already working with members of the Local Action Team, Saltdean Residents Society and the PARC charity, and a survey has now been launched to give everyone the opportunity to have their say.
Exciting opportunity
Councillor Alan Robins, cabinet member for sport and recreation, said: “We need to make the most of this exciting opportunity to refurbish the Saltdean MUGA, to ensure we provide a facility that meets everyone’s needs.
“We need understand how people are currently using the space and what they would like to see in a new and updated facility.
“I would urge residents to complete the survey and help us create something special for Saltdean.”
The work is being funded by section 106 developer contributions along with contributions from the local community, including the PARC charity and Local Action Team.
The consultation closes on 27 October.
