Residents and businesses have the chance to give their views on a new Neighbourhood Plan for Brighton Marina.
The six-week consultation opens today (5 February 2024).
Councillor Alan Robins, Chair of the Culture, Heritage, Sport, Tourism & Economic Development Committee said: “Once approved the plan will be used to help decide the outcome of planning applications in the area.
“We hope that as many residents and local businesses as possible will help shape the future of their community by taking part.”
Developing the plan
The draft plan was prepared by Brighton Marina Neighbourhood Forum under the government’s neighbourhood planning regulations. Once this consultation has completed the plan will be submitted to an independent examiner appointed by the council.
The Neighbourhood Forum has prepared the plan in consultation with businesses, residents and stakeholders. They undertook a public consultation on their draft plan in 2022/2023 and have since made amendments in response to comments received.
