It’s going to be cheaper to park in some of our car parks from next week.
Price changes, agreed at Cabinet last month, are due to come into force from Monday 11 November.
The reductions in one-hour tariffs are part of a new parking plan for Brighton & Hove, designed to be better for residents, support local businesses and help the growth of our vibrant visitor economy.
The changes will be:
The Lanes car park
One hour weekday tariff reduced from £5.50 to £4
Regency Square car park
One hour weekday tariff reduced from £5 to £4
24-hour weekday tariff reduced from £32 to £25
London Road car park
One hour tariff reduced from £3 to £2
Trafalgar Street car park
One-hour tariff reduced from £5.50 to £4
Norton Road car park
One-hour tariff reduced from £1.70 to £1.50
As well as the changes above, several evening and night-time tariff changes will be implemented in the next couple of months.

Councillor Trevor Muten, Cabinet member for Transport, Parking and Public Realm, said: “We’ve worked quickly to introduce these changes. And they’re just the start of a fresh approach to parking in the city.
“We’re focusing on making parking simpler and fairer for everyone. By reducing the one-hour and evening tariffs, we’re making it cheaper for people to pop into the city to shop or socialise, which is important for supporting our day and night-time economy.
“As well as improving parking services, the income this brings helps to support the bus service, enabling citizens to travel by public transport more easily. With improvements to road, pavements and cycle paths, we are giving residents and visitors more travel choices.
“This is just the beginning. The parking plan is addressing all areas of the service, but it will sit alongside everything we’re doing to give people real choices about how they travel around the city.”
