Premier League launch with Brighton & Hove Albion

Council Leader, Bella Sankey, had the chance to celebrate the success of Brighton & Hove Albion, as well as get up close to the Premier League Trophy, at the season launch event today.

She visited Brighton & Hove Albion’s training ground where she spoke with Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters, Managing Director of Brighton & Hove Albion, Paul Barber and Chief Executive Officer of Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation, Matt Dorn.

While there she had the opportunity to watch some high quality football from players in the amputee and Cerebral Palsy teams as well as from the women’s team.

Councillor Bella Sankey, Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council said: “How brilliant that our club was selected to launch the Premier League this year.

“I’m so proud and so pleased at the report that was launched today by the club about the huge financial contribution that they are able to make to our city.

“It’s going to be a really exciting season. We’re in Europe for the first time. And I can’t wait to see what the club does for us this year!”

Many fans and community representatives also got a chance to take a look at the Premier League trophy at the training ground, as well as on the seafront.
