The council last week launched a new virtual work experience programme called 'Your City, Your Future - Careers at Brighton & Hove City Council' in partnership with the careers platform, Springpod.
As part of the programme, attendees will gain an insight into the range of opportunities available at Brighton & Hove City Council through virtual workshops, live webinars, and talks.
The programme will be broken down into multiple modules and provide insight into the council's work across its five directorates and the impact it has not only through policy but as one of the city's largest employers.
As part of the last session, candidates will discover pathways into a future career, learning how to develop essential skills such as communication and teamwork to become career ready as they enter the world of work.
Contributing to the city
Councillor Hannah Allbrooke, chair of the Children, Young People & Skills Committee, said: "As we look towards the future, we need to ensure that the council have a skilled workforce responsible for covering over 700 services across multiple portfolios.
"Through this programme, attendees will be given the opportunity to find out more about the crucial work of the council and its impact on the city.
"This course is an excellent opportunity for anyone considering a career working for the council and offers candidates the opportunity to discover how they can contribute their talents to benefit the city and its residents."
