Council telephone systems
We are moving to a new telephone system. This may cause some initial issues and disruption to calls while it is being set up. If you have any issues, you may wish to call back at another time. We appreciate your patience whilst the new system is implemented and apologise for any disruption that you may experience.
Free of charge, the exciting, week-long event will focus exclusively on the circular economy and what’s great is that absolutely anyone can register.
The Circular Economy
The circular economy is about transitioning from the current ‘take, make, dispose’ systems to those where there is no waste, and resources can be returned to the biosphere to be used again.
A circular economy has many benefits, including encouraging efficient resource use, creating ample job opportunities, and meeting global climate targets by reducing emissions.
The Roadshow Event
The event is open to all to attend from the comfort of their own home or office.
Attendees will hear from innovative speakers from areas including policy, fashion, construction and more.
From discovering how others are implementing circular practices to learning what skills you need to succeed in the circular fashion industry.
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of a circular economy and be equipped with knowledge to support this green transition.
The Roadshow Speakers
A host of inspiring speakers from leading organisations including the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM), Elvis & Kresse, Hubbub, ReLondon and TRAID are supporting the Roadshow.
They will share their expertise on how they integrate the circular economy into their work and lead the way in circular economy development.
The BLUEPRINT Circular Economy Roadshow has been organised by the BLUEPRINT to a Circular Economy Project. The project has a total budget of 5.6m euros, 3.8m of which were provided by the European Regional Development Fund via the Interreg France (Channel) England programme.
Councillor Amy Heley, co-chair of the Environment, Transport and Sustainability committee said: “The BLUEPRINT Circular Economy Roadshow is a fantastic opportunity for businesses, organisations and individuals to learn more about transitioning to a circular economy.
“It’s going to be a fantastic week, packed full of speakers from a wide variety of industries.
“They will be sharing their knowledge, projects and tips on how you can get involved and start making the transition from a linear “take, make and dispose” model to one that will positively impact the environment, by just making even the smallest of behaviour changes”.
