A grace period of 21 days is in place for all parking permit holders. This means you can display your parking permit for 21 days after the expiry date printed on it. As long as you've submitted your renewal application and you're parked according to the conditions of your current parking permit, you will not receive a fine.
Have your say in how pharmacies can best support your health needs
Pharmacies play a vital role in the health and wellbeing of our residents and we are keen to hear how you think this can be improved.
You are invited to have your say in a consultation which is open now and aims to ensure community pharmacies best provide services that matter most to you in the most accessible and convenient way.
Future pharmacies
Brighton & Hove Health & Wellbeing Board has produced the first draft of its 2022 Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment. This informs decisions on the future of pharmacy services and helps pharmacies to better support the health and wellbeing needs of local people.
Residents are invited to comment on the draft report’s recommendations to help improve the future provision of pharmacy services, so they meet people’s priorities. Your comments will feed into the final report to be approved by the Health & Wellbeing Board in September.
Health priorities
Our draft recommendations include:
Review provision of later weekend and evening opening (including emergency contraception provision).
Offering more local health promotion, such as advice on weight management, substance misuse and heart disease prevention.
More access to COVID-19 and other vaccinations through pharmacies.
The assessment includes data on health needs, results from surveys of GPs, and pharmacies, and from a representative sample of the local population.
Councillor Sue Shanks, chair of the Brighton & Hove City Council Health & Wellbeing Board said: “Local pharmacy services are important for all our residents and have a key role in supporting the health needs of local people. It’s important we take this chance to ensure they continue to develop in the most effective way.
“Our core aim remains to ensure pharmacists, doctors and others work more closely so everyone can benefit from quick and easy access to high quality advice and treatment, provided by the right person.
“I encourage everyone to have a look at the consultation and help us understand how well community pharmacies are meeting needs.”
