Celebrating heritage

A photography competition has been launched this week to celebrate the Heritage of Stanmer - Brighton & Hove’s largest city park.

  • Home Farm
  • Water Catcher
  • Great Wood
  • Gateway to the National Park and Living Coast

Twelve winners will be shortlisted by a panel of judges, including professional photographers, before going on display in the popular park.

The overall winner of The People’s Choice Award, chosen following a public vote, will receive £250 worth of photography vouchers.

Photographer's dream!

Councillor Amy Heley, co-chair of the council’s environment, transport and sustainability committee, said: “With its wonderful woodland, historic features and fabulous restored walled garden, Stanmer Park is a photographer’s dream!

"We hope this competition will encourage visitors to take a fresh look at the park, explore the hidden gems and capture on camera everything that makes Stanmer Park so special.”

The closing date for entries has been extended until 4 November 2022.
