City’s apprentices congratulated at special event
A graduation ceremony to praise the city’s hard-working apprentices and the huge contribution they make to their employers has taken place.
Three of the city’s apprentices plus one apprenticeship team have been honoured at this year’s online event.
A total of 56 graduates from 19 different training providers across a range of business sectors were nominated for the four awards.

Cllr Clare said: “It's a real honour and delight to be asked to open the Brighton & Hove Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony 2022.
‘You should all be so proud’
“I'm so thrilled to say my personal congratulations to you all. You should be so proud of all of your achievements and for completing your apprenticeship.
“I also want to say a huge thank you to all of our employers and training providers for supporting our graduates and for investing in apprenticeships.
“You’re all helping us meet the skills and employment needed for the future in Brighton & Hove over the coming years as the city recovers from the pandemic.”
‘Council has more than 150 apprentices’
Cllr Clare added: “As a local authority, we are a huge advocate and supporter of apprenticeships with more than 150 apprentices within the council, so we know that what you’re doing is crucial for the city.
" For people starting out, up skilling or looking at a career change, there really is an apprenticeship for everyone.”
