Tell us what you think about our library services
What do you think about Brighton & Hove library services?
Whether you’re a regular customer of our libraries or have never visited, we’d love to hear from you.
Take part in our survey to help shape our Libraries Plan for 2020-24 and our stock policy.
What’s on offer at our libraries
Our 14 libraries offer a wide range of easily available services.
Libraries are free and easy to join at any age. There’s books of course, but much, much more…
Libraries provide information for living, recreation, culture, learning, development, entertainment, empowerment, free thinking and fun.
You can meet people, read, get information, advice and referral, borrow stock, use the computers, and enjoy a wide range of activities and events for people of all ages.
We lend CDs, DVDs and Talking Books. We provide newspapers and magazines to read in the library and free use of computers.
We also have free access to eBooks and eAudiobooks through Borrowbox, digital comics and graphic novels through RBdigital and a collection of rare books.
We provide internet help sessions, supporting independence and reducing social isolation.
So let us know what you think to help shape what we offer over the next four years. And if you haven’t been for while, pop into your local library to see what’s on offer!
Tell us what you think
We’ve produced three versions of the survey, depending on your age, to make sure we can get views from all our customers!
Follow the links below to complete the survey online or pick up a paper copy in your local library. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete.
- Libraries Customer Survey 2020 - 20 or over
- Libraries Customer Survey 2020 - 13 to 19 years
- Libraries Customer Survey 2020 - 0-12 years
The survey closes on 13 April 2020.
Help us plan for the future
Councillor Alan Robins, chair of the council’s Tourism, Equalities, Communities & Culture Committee, said:
“Libraries are about so much more than books – they are there to offer support through every stage of life.
“Our libraries offer great services, resources and experiences to everyone in the city, regardless of age, background or circumstance.
“We’re keen to make sure our library service keeps delivering what the city needs, so please take part in the survey to help us plan for the future.”
