Road layout changes at Valley Gardens
Work will begin next week, Wednesday 22 April, to reconstruct the junction of Marlborough Place where it meets North Road and Grand Parade.
As part of the Valley Gardens project, temporary traffic lights will be installed at the east end of North Road and on Grand Parade. The existing crossing points for pedestrians will remain in place.
Traffic will be able to turn both north or south immediately after exiting North Road, replacing the current requirement to travel further east towards Grand Parade.
Resurfacing update - 30 April
UK Power Networks (UKPN) have confirmed they have completed the work to carry out the lowering of their cable in Marlborough Place, therefore the road closure required for resurfacing the junction of North Road, Marlborough Place and Gloucester Place will now take place between 5-7 May between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
During these works a signed diversions will be in place for all access roads. It will not be possible for vehicles to enter the works area from any side roads or driveways. Please contact us with any specific access requirements you may have.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times but may be diverted around the site.
