Weather warning for Sunday 29 September

A very high tide along Brighton & Hove beaches will be at its highest at 12.23pm on Sunday 29 September

This coincides with a Met Office weather warning of strong winds up to 45 to 55mph along the coast especially in exposed locations.

The waves will be very high and strong and we’re expecting some overtopping and shingle to blow off the beach. This could cause injury. High and strong waves also have the potential to knock people over.

Please be very careful if you’re planning to visit Brighton & Hove beaches on Sunday between 10am to 2pm.
