Tell us what you think about housing for older people
If you’re aged 60 and over and live in Brighton & Hove, we’d like to hear your plans about the type of home you’d like to live in.
Tell us what matters to you to help us plan the housing we need for older people in the city in by completing our housing for older people survey.
You can also share your views by taking part in one of the discussion groups being run later in June.
The survey has been extended and is now open until 31 August. By taking part, you can enter our free draw to win a £50 shopping voucher.
What we’d like to know
Councillor John Allcock, chair of the council's Housing & New Homes Committee, said: “We know that people make different decisions about where and how they live as they get older. We are keen to hear people’s views to help us work out what types of homes the city needs.
“Some will want to stay living in the same home, others will look to move to more manageable homes, and some will feel that housing specifically designed for older people will best suits their needs.
“We want to hear from people living in all types of accommodation. If you’ve recently moved, we’d also really like to hear about your reasons for moving.”
The feedback will help shape the city’s future planning policies and the development of specialist housing and support services in the city.
How to send us your views
You can complete our housing for older people survey online or by completing and sending us a paper copy.
You can pick up a paper copy at any of the city libraries or can ask us to send you a copy by emailing housing.strategy@brighton-hove.gov.uk or calling us on 01273 293030.
