National praise for city’s new planning apprenticeship

A new apprenticeship in planning at Brighton & Hove City Council has been praised by a national institute.

The Level 7 Chartered Town Planner degree apprenticeship offers a route to a Masters-level qualification.

It’s a chance to have your degree entirely paid for, and receive a salary while studying for it.

The council is one of the first in the country to offer this apprenticeship.

Andrew Close of the Royal Town Planning Institute said: “This is an excellent way to open up access into the profession for the next generation of planners.

“I’m delighted to see Brighton & Hove Council leading the way on this.”
