House of Commons date for Youth Parliament rep Glyn

Brighton & Hove's representative for the UK Youth Parliament, Glyn Griffiths, has taken part in this year’s UKYP debate in the House of Commons with around 300 other young people.

They were debating their ‘Make Your Mark’ ballot, that a massive 840,000 young people nationwide took part in.

Among the decisions they made was an agreement to campaign during 2020 to protect the environment.

Glyn said afterwards: "That was awesome! It was such a good experience to be in the House of Commons and to see young people encouraging and supporting each other when they got up to speak."

His visit to the House of Commons was supported by the council's youth participation team.
