People aged 50+ in Brighton & Hove can try out more than 100 events in more than 50 venues across the city in this year’s Ageing Well Festival.
The two week festival formerly known as the Older People’s Festival, will run from Monday 30 September to Sunday 13 October and is set to be the biggest and best yet.
What’s on
The festival includes tours and talks, music and arts events, opportunities to try new physical activities alongside fashion and feel good sessions and the chance to learn new skills and meet like-minded people.
Venues include Theatre Royal, Duke of York’s cinema, the Hop 50+, Larches Café, Amex Stadium, Fabrica Gallery, Rampion Wind Farm, Brighton Table Tennis Club, and Hangleton’s St Richard’s Community Centre.
30 September launch
The Deputy Mayor, Councillor Alan Robins, will officially launch the Festival at the Hop 50+ in Palmeira Square on Monday 30 September. The launch event will run from 10.30am until 3.30pm with food and drinks, entertainment and information about festival events.

The festival is produced by Impact Initiatives, working alongside the council, as well as voluntary sector organisations and local businesses.
