How to get involved in Pride 2018
Brighton & Hove Disability Pride Festival - Saturday 14 July from 11.30am
This year’s Disability Pride Festival starts with a parade along the promenade, from the British Airways i360 to the Peace Statue. The parade starts at 11.30am followed by the festival itself which starts at 12.30 at Hove Lawns. There will be live bands and acts, speakers, artists, stalls and a family picnic area.
Brighton & Hove Trans Pride - Friday 13 July – Sunday 21 July
Trans Pride Brighton, now in its 6th year, has a fantastic array of events taking place including an arts exhibition and workshop, a writing residency, film night and open mic night. The Trans Pride March starts at the Marlborough Pub & Theatre from 11.30am on Sunday 21 July and is followed by the Trans Pride Park event which is open from 1pm in Brunswick Square.
Brighton Pride - Friday 3 August – Sunday 5 August
One of the biggest and brightest events in Brighton & Hove’s diary, this year’s free Pride Community Parade takes place on Saturday 4 August. The Parade starts at 11am at Hove Lawns and travels through the city centre, ending at Preston Park. The full Parade route can be viewed here
The Brighton Pride Festival takes place in Preston Park on the same day, playing host to some of the world’s biggest acts including this year’s headliner, Britney Spears. Tickets for the Pride Festival have now Sold Out.
The two day Pride Village Party will once again take place at St James Street and the city’s iconic seafront Marine Parade, which will be closed to traffic over Pride weekend. This is a ticketed event and it is strongly advised that wristbands for the event are bought in advance from the Pride Ticketshop.
LoveBN1Fest - Sunday 5th August 2018 from 1.30pm
LoveBN1Fest 2018 is a brand new community event in Preston Park helping raise extra funds for the Pride Social Impact Fund. LoveBN1Fest will feature main stage headline artists including Nile Rodgers & Chic, performance and dance tents, family tents, circus skills, spoken word and cabaret, a creative arts and culture zone. Tickets are available to buy on the Pride website.
