Brighton & Hove City Council’s lead member for schools, Councillor Daniel Chapman, said: “To be out-performing the national average in each sector is a fantastic achievement.
“I’d like to pay tribute to the tremendous work that is going on in all our family of schools working together with our wider education partners.
“They are now working together more closely than ever before to share best practice and deliver a good education for all our children and young people.
“The council’s education team is also doing a great job both supporting our schools and also challenging them when improvements are needed.
“I sense a real momentum building here, and I fully expect to see further improvements in academic standards in the coming years.”
