Setting the budget for Brighton & Hove

This year’s council meeting to decide Brighton & Hove City Council’s budget for 2016/17 will be held at the Sussex County Cricket Ground in Hove.

The public meeting on Thursday 25 February, will be held in the Boundary Rooms and is fully accessible. The meeting starts at 4.30pm.

Much work has been done to find alternative temporary venues while Hove Town Hall is closed for improvements and the options are limited due to the specific requirements for these public meetings. Hove Town Hall will be used for council meetings when it re-opens later this year.

There are disabled parking spaces at the venue and limited general parking. The cricket club is on bus routes 21, 21a and 7 and is a 10 minute walk from Hove railway station. Find out how to get to the cricket ground.

The reports for the Budget Council meeting will be published a week before the meeting.  If you are unable to attend but would like to follow proceedings, the meeting will be fully webcast

February’s meeting of the full council will decide how the council’s funds will be spent in the coming year, as well as set the level of council tax and fees and charges for council services. Find out more about Brighton & Hove’s budget
