PC Claire Kilroy and Piers the Meerkat, the Brighton & Hove City Council Road Safety mascot, presented year six students of St Margaret’s C.E. Primary School with the Safety in Action trophy they won for 2016.
The event, which has been running for 25 years, provides advice and information to help keep students safe as they move to secondary school and enjoy more freedom and responsibility.
The students showed excellent participation and awareness, taking part in 12 activities illustrating how to navigate situations they might come across in later life.
Organisations from the RNLI to Trading Standards via Brighton & Hove buses put on a circus of short activities which 10 schools took part in at Sussex County Cricket Club in Hove. Teachers and students enjoyed the day.
