Floral clock gets festive

The famous Floral Clock in Hove takes on a festive new look this week with a Christmas tree, complete with twinkling lights.

On Thursday, (December 1) members of Brunswick in Bloom  are inviting residents to join them for the lighting of the Floral Clock Christmas tree.

The event will start at 3.45pm at St John the Baptist Church, in Palmeira Square, where children from Brunswick Primary School Choir will be singing Christmas carols.

The group will then move to Palmeira Square where Councillor Pete West Mayor of Brighton & Hove, will be switching on the Christmas tree lights at 4.30pm, entertained by members of the Rotary Club Choir.

Cllr West said: "We hope lots of people will join us to see the lights, enjoy the singing and get into the festive spirit."

This year’s Christmas tree has been donated by Brighton & Hove City Council and Just Cool It Ltd, which also sponsors the Floral Clock.
