Brighton & Hove stands in solidarity with the people of Nice

The leaders of the three political groups in the council have released a joint statement.

“Brighton & Hove stands in solidarity with the people of Nice."

"We send our deepest sympathy to all those who have been affected by another terrible attack which has taken place in France, against people celebrating Bastille Day."

"We are deeply saddened by the extensive loss of life and injury and on behalf of the city of Brighton & Hove, we reach out to all those around the world to show sympathy and support in the face of unacceptable violence."

"As well as our neighbours in France, we also stand in unity with all nations where recent terror attacks have taken place."

“We will be flying the Union Flag at half-mast as a mark of solidarity and remembrance.”
