Correction on market toilets story
The council has moved to correct media reports claiming the new London Road Open Market has no toilets.
Cllr Ian Davey, who is also chair of the community interest company which runs the market said: “Reports claiming the new Open Market will have no toilets for the public and traders to use are incorrect. The Brighton Open Market Community Interest Company – directors of which include representatives of the market traders, the council, The Hyde Group and Ethical Property Company - has agreed with the council that the market toilets will be available for public use during market hours. We look forward to opening a vibrant new market that supports the growing regeneration of London Road.”
