Roger French will be a freeman of the city
Roger French, OBE, will become an Honorary Freeman of the City of Brighton and Hove.
Recently retired 58-year-old Roger French spent nearly 30 years at the wheel of Brighton and Hove Buses. He worked to promote the spirit of partnership in the city as chair of the city's Strategic Partnership for seven years and was chair of the trustees at Martlets Hospice for nine years.
A special meeting at Brighton & Hove City Council has been called for Thursday 9 May to confer the honour. He will become the sixth member of this select band.
Cllr Kitcat said: “Roger French has made an outstanding contribution to the services, partnerships and charities in the city during his long, distinguished career.”
