Older folk offered IT over high tea
Older people are being encouraged to use computers and get on the internet, with special sessions at Brighton & Hove’s local libraries.
Organised by the city council in conjunction with Age UK, sessions offer one-to-one tuition over tea and biscuits.
The ‘Tea with Technology’ tasters happen during the week 16-22 September.
They will show the benefits of using a computer, the internet, online shopping and social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter

Councillor in charge of libraries Geoffrey Bowden said: “It’s so important everyone can use the web and it really is not just for younger people. There are so many benefits for older people, ranging from cheap shopping to staying in touch with friends and relatives.
“I’d urge people to book a session with our very friendly libraries staff.”
