The chair of the council’s children and young people committee, Councillor Sue Shanks, said: “These play services are available to all children and we’re delighted to fund them.
Play is such an important part of children’s overall development. These events offer children a safe, fun environment to have fun and maybe try out some activities they wouldn’t normally do.”
All children under 8 years old should be accompanied by a responsible adult. Activities will vary from day to day. Some of the activities will be outdoors and a bit messy, so please wear appropriate clothes!
