Rottingdean Bowling Club will be encouraging people to take a turn on a temporary bowls rink in the city centre this Friday (28/6/2013). The Mayor will be joining in at 5.30pm.
New Road will be the unusual venue for the lawn bowling display. The bowling is part of the wider TAKEPART in the City event, which offers a few hours of fun on Friday evening from 5pm to 8pm.
A selection of sports and activities are being rolled out in New Road and Jubilee Square. Local sports clubs will take to the streets offering people a chance to have a go at bowls, Zumba, Pilates, golf, tennis, dance, British Military Fitness and much more.
The participatory TAKEPART in the City event is a new addition to the TAKEPART Festival programme for 2013.
• The TAKEPART Festival began on Saturday and runs until Sunday 7 July.
