In the event of the ceremony being cancelled by the hirer, the Council shall retain the following proportion of the hire charges that will have been paid. The hirer shall have no claim against the Council for any damage or loss that may sustain, in consequence of such cancellation. You will not be entitled to a refund if you fail to notify the events office of the cancellation or fail to attend the ceremony.

All cancellations must be received in writing and accepted by the council.
The council reserves the right to cancel the ceremony if the venue or any part of it is closed due to circumstances beyond the council's reasonable control.
