The Seafront Office is located between the 2 piers on the lower promenade at:

We are open to the public from 9.30am to 5pm in the low season and 9am to 7pm in the summer months.

Responsibilities
The Seafront Office is responsible for:
- advice and enforcement of the bylaws
- operating the lifeguard service (seasonal)
- beach huts and boat lockers
- seafront playgrounds
- seafront maintenance and repairs
- the Bandstand
- seafront sports facilities
The seafront area we cover is from Hove Lagoon through to Saltdean Undercliff. The office is open to the public to seek for safety advice, lost property enquiries and information on how to book seafront facilities.
We are able to support incidents of lost or found children and work closely with the local police on tackling anti-social behaviour.
The Seafront Office also helps with events along the coastline, as well as the upkeep of various council-owned seafront properties.

Sea safety

First aid
We operate a first-aid post all year round and lifeguard service from May to September each year.
The Seafront Officers are trained lifeguards. Each quad bike they use is equipped with an AED (automated external defibrillator), oxygen and a first aid kit to respond to incidents.
In the event of an emergency please dial 999, we have direct links with Solent Coastguard, Brighton RNLI, and all emergency services.
