Waterhall Conservation Area has extensive views of the downs and woodland walks.
About Waterhall
Waterhall local nature reserve is an important recreational resource for the local population. It is about 15 hectares (38 acres) of chalk downland and scrub.
It is in the South Downs National Park and there is a large dew pond which is used by local wildlife.
Grazing is also an important part of life at Waterhall and we are always looking for more volunteer shepherds.

Sports facilities
- Playing fields (part of Brighton Blues Rugby Club)
Waterhall is the home of Brighton Blues Rugby club. The playing fields can also be hired through our sports bookings system.
Wilding Waterhall
At Wilding Waterhall nature reserve we are working to restore rare chalk grassland and improve habitats for our local wildlife.
