The park has shaded areas for those seeking some peace and quiet.
The park also has 2 play areas. One has a sandpit and a new coloured mural on the wall and is particularly suited to younger children. The other play area is in the main body of the park and has larger climbing equipment, swings and slides.

The pig sculptures
Part of the land on which Stoneham Park now stands was originally a gravel pit. Pigs were kept on it by the Duke of Portland.
In 1906 the Duke gave part of the area to the people of Hove as an open space for recreation. This heritage is commemorated by the pigs sculpture in the park.
