Stanmer Park and Estate is a working and farming environment. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but owners should always keep their dogs under control. Dogs should be kept on short leads in areas where there may be grazing cattle or sheep.
Dogs should also be kept on leads in busier areas where they might cause concern or distress to children and other park visitors.
Aggressive dogs should be muzzled and kept on a lead.
Dog waste
You must pick up and correctly dispose of your dog’s waste. Stanmer Park is a countryside estate, and dog waste is a serious hazard to livestock and can also be dangerous for other visitors. Incorrect disposal is illegal and unsightly.
Dog waste should be placed in one of the dog bins provided, or use one of the park litter bins.
Please don't:
- use bins that are already full
- leave waste alongside bins
- throw waste into or hang waste on trees or undergrowth
You could receive a Fixed Penalty Notice for not disposing of dog waste or litter correctly.
