Your gift creates a lasting legacy that will benefit residents, visitors, and future generations. 

A dedication is a meaningful way to:

• honour a loved one
• celebrate a birthday, anniversary or achievement
• say thank you to someone special
• Support a greener, more welcoming city. 

Every dedication helps improve public spaces, enhance wellbeing, and strengthen Brighton and Hove’s environment. This programme is part of our wider mission to invest in Brighton & Hove’s long-term social and environmental resilience.

Tree Planting: A living gift

Planting a tree is a powerful act of hope and renewal.

Your contribution helps to:

• increase tree cover and biodiversity
• improve air quality and climate resilience
• create greener streets, parks, and community spaces.

Each tree is planted in partnership with the council and will be cared for as part of the city’s long-term environmental management.

Trees can only be planted during specific seasons.

We regret we are not currently able to offer on-street tree planting dedications, and we no longer offer adoptions for existing trees.

Bench dedications - providing a place to pause and remember

A dedicated bench offers a place for reflection, rest, and connection.

Benches can be installed in carefully selected public locations in the city, including in many of our parks and green spaces, along the seafront, and on-street. Together with you, we provide:

• a permanent tribute in a shared community space
• a place for people to sit, remember, and enjoy the city
• a tangible way to support inclusive, accessible public spaces

Unfortunately, we no longer offer adoptions for existing benches.

2. Send us an email using the details below - the email is different depending on whether you'd like to dedicate a tree or a bench.
3. Make your donation - this will support planting, installation and care.
4. Personalise your dedication - we’ll provide wording options.
5. We’ll work with our services and partners to make your dedication happen
