  • Chattri Memorial

    The memorial commemorates 53 men of the Indian Army who died and were cremated at Patcham Down ghat during the First World War.
  • Devils Dyke

    Situated on the South Downs, north of Brighton, Devil’s Dyke is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
  • Ditchling Beacon

    Ditchling Beacon is the second highest point on the South Downs National Park with spectacular views across the weald.
  • Falmer Pond

    Falmer Pond is a tranquil, rural, village pond set in the rolling hills of the South Downs. It's the city’s only naturally occurring small lake.

    Named after the village's most famous resident, 'Jungle Book' writer Rudyard Kipling, these delightful gardens are full of rustic village charm.
  • Royal Pavilion Garden

    Beautiful Pavilion gardens surround the magnificent Royal Pavilion providing visitors and locals with a green haven in the heart of the city.
  • St Ann's Well Gardens

    St Ann's Well Gardens, not far from Hove seafront, is a treat for the tree-lover and will appeal to young and old alike.

    Waterhall Conservation Area has extensive views of the downs and woodland walks.
