Find out about how to get involved in the Summer Reading Challenge 2023.
Ready, set, read!
Children aged 4-11 can visit Brighton and Hove Libraries from 8 July 2023 to join a superstar team and their marvellous mascots for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge.
The challenge can help keep children’s minds and bodies active over the summer break.
Read books or listen to stories and collect free rewards from your local library. Chapter books, graphic novels, audiobooks, poetry, information books – they all count towards the Summer Reading Challenge journey.
Go to any of our branches from Saturday 8 July to collect a starter pack and track your reading in it as you go.
In collaboration with the Youth Sport Trust, the summer reading challenge aims to keep imaginations moving over the school holiday. By participating in the challenge at Brighton and Hove Libraries young people will have the opportunity to discover new reading material, keep developing their skills and discover new interests.
To find out about free family events over the school holidays across Brighton & Hove Libraries visit the council events diary or find Brighton & Hove Libraries on Facebook.
