We have a selection of business information databases that will help you:

  • look for potential customers to support the start-up and growth of small and medium sized companies.

Visit our new Business & IP Centre

Our Business & IP Centre at Jubilee library is now open. You can visit our new space, by appointment only, to search our business databases.

We have time slots available to book a PC from 10am to midday or 2pm to 4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

A member of the team will be able to show you around and help you find the information you need.

Fame provide information on private companies in the UK and Ireland.

You can:

  • find out more about potential employers
  • look for business opportunities
  • create targeted B2B marketing lists

Kompass EasyBusiness

Kompass EasyBusiness contains information on over 43 million companies across 71 countries worldwide. You can use it to contact other businesses (B2B).

There are two ways to log in. You can log in to Kompass EasyBusiness with your library card or log in when you are inside our libraries.

EMIS Information platform

EMIS Information platform provides a unique blend of analysis, data and news on companies, industries and countries.

We license content from leading sources of company and industry intelligence and combine with a database of over 6.6 Million companies, M&A information and country level research.

You can access EMIS at Jubilee Library or send an email to bipc@brighton-hove.gov.uk with the information you need. You can have up to 10 reports and up to 250 companies in list form per day.

IBIS World

IBIS world provide:

You can access COBRA from home with your library card or in libraries.

Grantfinder

Grantfinder allows you to search for all types funding including loans, awards & grants to help local companies succeed and grow. Local entrepreneurs can search independently through the thousands of funds available to them.

These include:

  • European Union and Government programmes
  • regional schemes
  • local authority funds
  • prestigious business award competitions.
