What you can do at Jubilee Library
Jubilee Library is our main library, with three floors, and separate areas for children and young people.
There's exhibition and conference space for hire, as well as a Booklover store and a cafe.
Visit Jubilee Library to borrow and renew library books.
Unfortunately, only the ground floor of Jubilee library is accessible to the public due to Covid-19 restrictions.
There are no exhibition or conference spaces for hire and the Booklover Store is closed. We hope to re-open these facilities later this year.
The Booklover store will open soon, and the café is offering take away service in Jubilee Square.
You can also use the computers which can be booked in advance.
The library has:
- a café offering a take away service in Jubilee Square
- children's areas

Library of Sanctuary
Jubilee library was given 'Library of Sanctuary' status in June 2020. The ‘Libraries of Sanctuary’ initiative has been set up to recognise good practice of libraries which welcome people seeking sanctuary and other new arrivals into their community and seek to foster a culture of welcome and inclusivity. It was the second library service in the country to be awarded this status. Find out more about the award.
