Libraries Extra - Self-service and access with Libraries Extra card and PIN only. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Staffed days - Lunch time (1pm to 2pm) operates as Libraries Extra.

You may benefit from getting to know the library before you visit.

You can take a virtual tour through Coledean library from home or anywhere with an internet connection.

Library facilities

The library has:

  • books and audiobooks which you can borrow or renew 
  • separate areas for children and teenagers 
  • computers, a printer and a scanner– you can book these in advance  
  • free Wi-Fi  
  • a small collection of toys to borrow 
  • a bookable meeting room
