About the Heroes Welcome scheme
The national Heroes Welcome scheme aims to provide a special welcome to:
- people serving in the British armed forces (including reserved forces) if they show their identification card (MOD90)
- veterans if they show their Veterans’ Badge or ID card
The scheme first started in Scarborough when a few local businesses grouped together in order to offer visiting service personnel special discounts and has been running in Brighton & Hove since 2009.
