Kinship in Brighton & Hove
Find out about our Kinship Local Offer, including how we can support you if you are a kinship carer.
About kinship carers
Kinship carers are important members of our community who provide a safe home for children and young people who cannot live with their parents. Kinship carers could be a grandparent, aunt, uncle, older brother or sister, or another adult who knows the child well, like a family friend or neighbour.
In Brighton & Hove, we are in the process of reviewing and developing our Local Offer to kinship carers. This Local Offer is a work in progress and we will update it to reflect the local offer consultation process and changes as Brighton & Hove adopt the Families First model.
