About the Net Zero team
Our Net Zero team leads on delivering the council's Net Zero plans. This includes:
- developing projects to provide clean and affordable energy and transport
- promoting and advising on biodiversity and nature conservation
- leading The Living Coast UNESCO Biosphere, a key partnership for the city, working with more than 40 partners to protect the natural environment and influence the sustainable and diverse management of 390km2 of coastline
- collaborating with key stakeholders, including the National Wealth Fund, GB Energy, South East Net Zero Hub, UK Power Networks, Sussex Energy, community groups and schools
- supporting projects to make the city more climate resilient and able to adapt to climate change
- delivering corporate water and energy management and efficiency
