We are moving to a new telephone system. This may cause some initial issues and disruption to calls while it is being set up. If you have any issues, you may wish to call back at another time. We appreciate your patience whilst the new system is implemented and apologise for any disruption that you may experience.
Apprenticeships for Brighton & Hove City Council staff
If you work for us, find out about how you can develop your skills by completing a staff apprenticeship.
What an apprenticeship is
Staff apprenticeships are a great way to complete a qualification whilst carrying out your day-to-day job.
They are a way for people of all ages to earn while they learn. They are work-based training programmes leading to a nationally recognised qualification.
We offer a range of apprenticeships to existing staff across the council.
Completing a staff apprenticeship with Brighton & Hove City Council is a fantastic opportunity to improve your long-term career prospects, whether you are starting out in your first job, or progressing at work.
Apprenticeships range from Level 2 (entry level) to Level 7 (masters level).
Why you should do an apprenticeship
Apprenticeships can enable you to:
learn new skills in your current job
support your development in a new role
Who can do an apprenticeship
If you're employed by us, you can apply for apprenticeship funding. The apprenticeship you choose must be appropriate and relevant to your role and is subject to agreement by your manager.
It must offer you the opportunity to learn new skills. You'll need to apply and evidence your learning in the workplace.
