Vehicle Passenger Assistants required for Home to School Transport Service. 

Brighton and Hove City Council commissions transport to and from school for eligible children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

The following advert is not a council position but comes from Sprint Airport Transfers, one of the firms on the council’s framework of transport providers.

 

About the role

This role will involve working with students that have special education needs and disabilities on a part time basis (2 - 4 hours per day) Monday to Friday during school term time only. 

Successful candidates would need to assist the passenger and care for their needs during their journey to / from school in a licensed Private Hire Vehicle (taxi), driven by a licensed driver. 

All candidates must have good communication skills and be over the age of 21 .  Due to the nature of this work and the vulnerability of the passengers an Enhanced DBS check will be a necessity. Further training will be provided.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
