Job introduction

This exciting new role, within the Economy, Environment and Culture directorate, will provide comprehensive and effective day to day administrative business support and project management. The role will assist in the effective and efficient running and development of the service.

There are two full-time positions working Monday to Friday.

About the role

Job based at Hollingdean Depot, Upper Hollingdean Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 7GA

It is essential that you have the ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone and in writing and to manage an evolving workload using your time-management skills.

  • You will have experience of working in a busy office environment with the ability to prioritise your workload around the demands of the service. This role involves both project management and secretariat duties so we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, confident, experienced and self-directed person to join the team.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Part office / part home – hybrid -  We offer the opportunity for the suitable candidate to choose to  work in a hybrid way. Your specific working arrangements will be subject to team and service working arrangements already in place alongside Government guidance.  Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
