We currently have a vacancy for a Positive Behaviour and Learner Support Worker based at Downs View Life Skills College.
Downs View Life Skills College is an independent further education college for adult learners with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound & multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and SLD with autism. The college has very strong links with Downs View School and Link College with many shared services. We are a highly innovative, committed, outward looking and enthusiastic organisation in all aspects of our work but especially: highest quality education and care, inclusive practice, staff development and parental engagement.
About the role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant with experience of working with students with SEND. The role is to support positive behaviour support across Downs View Life Skills College. It will support all staff to implement effective behaviour management that improves the well-being and quality of life for all pupils. The role will work to reduce incidents of challenging behaviour and the use of restrictive interventions. A key part of the role will also be family liaison and preparing learners and families for transition. This will include working with families and liaising with relevant agencies as appropriate. They will also be a DSL for the college.
The role is full time but the hours are negotiable.
