Job introduction

Brighton and Hove City Council are looking for an Administrator to help in their work to transform the health and wellbeing of our residents. Brighton & Hove City Council has been awarded additional funding to support the local delivery of the Government’s new drug strategy – ‘From Harm to Hope: a ten-year drugs plan to cut crime and save lives’. This post will be part of the team in the Council that commissions services to reduce harms from drugs and alcohol use and will specifically support the local delivery of the national strategy.

About the role

We are based in the Health and Adult Social Care Directorate and work across the Council and beyond to influence the wider determinants of health.  We have strong and productive relationships with organisations across the Sussex Health and Care Partnership (ICS), including NHS Trusts and our partner Public Health teams; UKHSA & OHID; our local community & voluntary sector and other city organisations.

You will be an exceptional team player who is highly effective and efficient in meeting management and organisational support.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the administration of the Combatting Drugs Partnership and local action plans.
  • Coordinating multi–agency meetings, providing full administration to ensure effective communication, and meetings management
  • Liaising with the council’s communications teams, to ensure up to date, relevant information is easily accessible

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
