Varndean School requires a dedicated, experienced and qualified Counsellor to offer counselling and support to our students. The successful candidate will work in partnership with our existing school counsellor, our primary mental health worker and the safeguarding/pastoral teams. 

About the role

Varndean School is an 11-16 school with around 1500 students, set in a picturesque south coast location in the vibrant and diverse city of Brighton and Hove. We are a Good (Ofsted 2017) and well-established school already, and we have significantly enhanced our wellbeing offer over the past few years.

The role is for 39 weeks per year, for 7 hours per week. The pattern of those hours to be determined at interview.
