Job introduction

Paid weeks per year: 44.85 inclusive of holiday entitlement

8.00-4.00pm Monday-Thursday & 8.00-3.30pm Friday

Varndean School requires an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding Assistant School Medical Officer with a passion for care to support in our already established Medical Room. 

About the role

The Medical Room is a busy and productive area of the school. It requires someone with the flexibility to deal with first aid requirements, liaise with the wider healthcare community and supervise routine preventative programmes targeted at children whilst also supporting the lead Medical Officer in their role. 

This is a position for a fully trained first aider. If you do not already have this qualification, full training will be provided.
