The leadership team at St Margaret’s are looking for individuals to join our team as Individual Needs Assistants working within the remit of Special Educational Needs.

About the role

The primary purpose of the post-holder(s) will be to support children with additional needs who require guidance and scaffolding in order to access daily activities at the school. We are looking for someone who is experienced in working with children to achieve pre-agreed goals and who is able to contribute to the wider functioning of the classroom. A background in trauma informed practice, complex learning difficulties and/or autism is highly desirable.

We have two vacancies with a start date of September 2022 to meet the expected needs of the 2022-2023 cohort. We have some flexibility in appointing to various roles and can discuss this at interview.

  • A professional who has experience of working with children who have additional needs
  • Someone who exudes positivity and has a solution focussed approach
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Someone who is able to manage their own workload under guidance from the class teacher and Assistant Headteacher Inclusion
